The Bartko Foundation Works with Housing Authority to Assist in Home Purchase
The Bartko Foundation, working in cooperation with the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (HCAP), assisted Ms. Melvena Daniels with the purchase of her first home. Ms Daniels completed several months of credit counseling, established a savings plan and, with the guidance of HCAP, negotiated services with several organizations and businesses to further her dream of home ownership and self-sufficiency. The Bartko Foundation provided the final touch by awarding a grant of $4,095.00 for the closing costs.
The Bartko Foundation gratefully partners with many other agencies to help applicants. We aim to assist agencies whose operating principles limit applicants from receiving the "extra" they need to fulfill their dreams.
